    The first-ever Indus International Tournament is set to kick off in October 2024 and will run until February 2025 in India. Organized by SuperGaming, a prominent game development studio, this tournament will showcase elite teams from India and beyond competing in the Indus Battle Royale game.

    Launching on October 16, 2024, the Indus Battle Royale will be available on both Android and iOS platforms. The game features an Indo-futuristic theme, set on the vibrant island map of Indus, Virlok, which draws inspiration from Indian culture and lush landscapes. Players can choose between first-person and third-person perspectives, enhancing the gaming experience.

    Rooted in Indian mythology and history, the game embodies the essence of the Indus Valley Civilization. SuperGaming’s CEO and co-founder, Roby John, emphasized the studio’s mission: “Our goal was to create a game that resonates with Indian gamers. With the Indus International Tournament, we aim to showcase emerging talent from our community and integrate them into the global esports scene.”

    John further noted the rapid evolution of India’s esports landscape, expressing optimism about the country’s ability to compete internationally: “We believe India is ready to make its mark on the world stage. This tournament is an opportunity to elevate India’s presence in esports and inspire a new generation of professional gamers.”

    Registration Details

    Registration for the Indus International Tournament opened on October 10 and will close at 2:00 PM on October 31. Interested participants can sign up through the tournament’s Google Form.

    Tournament Schedule and Format

    The tournament will unfold over four distinct phases:

    1. Homegrown Phase: From November 6 to December 3, featuring a prize pool of INR 15 lakhs.
    2. Nationals Phase: Following the Homegrown phase, this segment will offer INR 10 lakh in prizes.
    3. Powerplay Phase: Tailored for professional esports teams, this phase boasts a prize pool of INR 25 lakh.
    4. International Phase: The final phase will welcome teams from other countries, with 15 teams competing for an impressive total prize pool of INR 2 crore.

    Additionally, the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament will be awarded a Mahindra Thar.

    Prize Pool Overview

    The Indus International Tournament promises the largest esports prize pool for a battle royale game in India, totaling INR 2.5 crore. This tournament represents a significant milestone in the Indian esports ecosystem, bringing together top-tier talent from across the globe.
